'Friends' actress Mary Pat Gleason passed away at 70 


Hollywood actress Mary Pat Gleason, most popular for featuring in 'A Cinderella Story' and 'friends', has passed away at 70 after fighting with cancer. 

Her friend Ron Fassler, who featured in 'Watchmen', broke the updates on her death on social media on Wednesday evening. 

He wrote: "Mary Pat Gleason, one of the dearest and sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure to know, passed away last night at age 70.

"She has 174 credits on her IMDB page (with one unreleased film still to come), yet she was far beyond a brilliant entertainer: she was stand-out." 

He went on: "So caring, so funny, and so delicious to be around, that I find it hard to imagine a world without her shining presence and smiling face.

"My heart goes out to all who knew and cherished her (each of the one you million). We should all raise a glass to her tonight as one and offer a last toast and an affectionate goodbye in her memory." 

Mary Pat Gleason showed up in US sitcom 'Mom' and the 2004 'A Cinderella Story', which highlighted Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.
