Karachi hit by dangerous dust storm

Many areas of Karachi were hit by heavy winds and dust storms on Wednesday evening.

This storm hit Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and University Road. 

It also blew in North Karachi, Saddar. 

As per the meteorological department, Western disturbance are going through the country. 

It said that tempests with lightning can be normal and that storm cells have framed in the city's northern territories. 

The dust storms have a speed somewhere in the range of 54 and 74 kilometers for each hour, said the met department. 

The tempests are relied upon to keep going for in any event an hour more, it was accounted for at 8pm. 

The unexpected change in climate carried with it power blackouts in different neighborhoods, including Saddar, Lyari, Malir, New Karachi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Korangi.
